It releases an ionic silver complex that protects from a broad spectrum of microorganisms. 3M™ Tegaderm™ Alginate Ag Silver Dressing is 2 inch x 2 inch (5 cm x 5 cm). 3M™ Tegaderm™ Alginate Ag Silver Dressing's silver compound, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and alginate fibre formula create a dressing that conforms to the wound surface and has high wet-strength for intact removal, without damaging healing tissue. Dressings can remain in place for up to 14 days, and can also be used under compression bandages.
