TL Tray liners are white sheets used together with instrument trays or loading carts. First and the most commonly tray liners are used in order to avoid wet packs. TL Tray liners absorb excessive condensate during autoclave process and allow easier evaporation of condensate as water is spread more widely in the tray. Another important reason to use tray liners is to protect sterile barrier from punctures, tears and other causes of lost barrier. For example from sharp corners of trays, from tray feet that would easily penetrate through the barrier without shield. Tray liners also prevent items from falling in between the mesh tray wires and protect the instruments from dulling or breaking. White color of TL tray liners show dirt and impurities very well and can be an advantage for faster default identification.
